| What Happens in Each School?
School Social Workers (SSW) meet with Miles of Smiles staff to determine annual program availability. Notification is sent to all families in each school. SSW identify qualifying families and help families complete the paperwork needed (especially ESL families). SSW responsible for creating the student appointment schedule, notifying teachers , coordinating the arrival and departure of students.

How Exactly Does the Portable Dental Program Operate?
Portable equipment and supplies stored in special suitcases Van used to transport staff and equipment to each school Schools provide a room for the dental equipment and staff to use approximately 2-3 weeks Use schools’ electricity; dental program provides own water source
