  • Notification is sent to all families in each school that Miles of Smiles dental team is coming soon!
  • SSW identify  families who qualify and help them complete the paperwork needed.
  • We also offer a paperless online registration process.
  • Online and paper forms offered in mulitple languages.
  • SSW partner with Miles of Smiles staff to create the student appointment schedule, notify teachers , coordinate the arrival and departure of students.

How Exactly Does the Portable Dental Program Operate?

  • Portable equipment and supplies stored in special suitcases
  • Van used to transport staff and equipment to each school
  • Schools provide a room for the dental equipment and staff to use approximately 2-3 weeks
  • Use schools’ electricity; dental program provides own water source

What This Partnership Means for Schools
